
I was not a LH ringer, I lived in Swanbourne until the age of 18 and used to help over if needed at LH.
I recall the bells were hard to ring and there was not much space in the ground floor ringing chamber.
I probably mentioned coming over to ring for Midnight at Christmas when as I remember it a rope caught a flower stand which was hoisted in the air. I believe the ringer was Reg ‘Chicken’ Savage.
Other ringers I remember were Albert Smith, Roger Ash, and a Hoskings I think. That would have been mid 1970s.
